Progressive CyberStud Poker
CyberStud Poker is pretty much the same game as regular poker, but with the added "bonus" of certain players being eligible for progressive jackpot payouts (check your casino on which you play CyberStud Poker to see if you would be eligible for this). In CyberStud Poker one is not playing against other players, but rather is trying to beat the dealer. The game uses a standard deck of 52 cards, shuffled prior to each game.
How to Play CyberStud Poker
CyberStud Poker begins with each player getting dealt 5 cards, and the dealer getting 1 card. Prior to this, wagers are placed (this is known as an Ante). Players can choose to either fold or call based on their cards and based on what the dealer has. A player may choose to either increase their stake (with a bet) which could maximize winnings, or fold to minimize losses. If one does decide to place a bet on the hand she or he has, the dealer will get another 4 cards. Once this has happened, hands are compared and a winner is determined with him or her receiving an appropriate payout.
Winning CyberStud Poker
What a player wants to aim to do to win CyberStud Poker, is complete the game with the strongest poker hand. What they will get paid for this, will depend on the specific value of the hand they are holding. To get that all elusive and exciting progressive jackpot, one needs to have the Royal Flush in their hand. Players want to bear in mind that they are trying to beat whatever hand the dealer I holding. Also, to win, if the dealer does not have an Ace and King (to qualify) then it's an automatic win for you, the player. But if you fold, you lose your Ante bet no matter what cards the dealer is holding. But if the player chooses the bet and the dealer does not qualify, the player receives double of what his or her Ante was along with the bet being returned. Yet if the dealer's hand qualifies but the player's hand is better than his, the player will be paid on their bet (depending on the payouts of the specific casino) with double their Ante as well. In a tie situation, the one who has the highest ranking card wins.
